    Could not put this down. Beautifully written, had me thinking about it daily when i wasn’t reading it. Powerful and thought provoking. It could be made into a film. I’m still thinking about the book even a week after finishing it. Praise to the author being her first novel. Please don’t take too long to write another!

    It took a little bit of time to start, but that’s probably just because I’m impatient. However by the time the main events happened you had all of the information. It was a really good read that I finished it two days (and I have young children so this really is testament to how addictive the book is!) Well done Jenny, you should be proud!

    Good concept but a bit slow for me, due I think to the narration from the child’s perspective. Could have been a lot less general description and more focus on what happened. Well written just perhaps not quite my cup of tea.

    I haven’t read a book in a long while that you feel you’re the main character, that makes you feel what the character is feeling. The book is fantastic and I was very emotional by the end.
